Quarter Sale Plus Something New…

News from the

Pennsylvania Curriculum Exchange

The Quarter Sale is ON! It will be Tuesday March 27 and Wednesday March 28, from 12-6. Should be 7,000-8,000 books on sale. This will include some items recently moved back there: DK/Usborne (still have more than a hundred of these left), most of my creation books–ones with older copyrights, and a crate filled with dinosaur titles. For those new to it, I will include the description of the quarter sale below. But first…

I’m doing something new this time. In addition to all the Bargain Books being reduced to 25¢, I’m setting up a table to try and move out overstock items. For the most part, these are current edition books that I just have too many of. They will be $1 each instead of the regular price for these two days. Some examples are:

  • English From the Roots Up
  • Dear America readers
  • Polished Cornerstones, Plants Grown Up, and others from this publisher
  • Veritas Press History and Bible guides, cards, and CDs
  • Kay Arthur kid’s Bible studies.
  • Learning Language Arts Through Literature Teacher Guides 2nd edition (This has just been updated to 3rd edition. I have all the 2nd edition student activity books too, but at the regular discounted price.)
  • Simply Grammar
  • America’s Providential History

The above will be $1 each for these two days, not 25¢.

Here’s the spiel for the quarter sale…

Each item in the bargain section will be a quarter (25¢). Sets of books are 25¢ per item. This includes books from my bargain area from the topics of math, science, history/geography, language arts, Bible, homeschool helps, old edition BJU and Abeka, and lots and lots of readers/novels . And TONS of flashcards.

This is a great opportunity to stock up on educational resources. For a quarter, it’s easy, for example, to buy a science book and cut it up to use the pictures for a lap book–no guilt involved. 🙂

Young children are always welcome in the store, but if you have an option to not bring them this week–it would probably be safer for them 😉  (I’ll be temporarily removing the play area this week since it’s in the bargain section and there is just no room if we add in people, too).

I will be accepting consignments. (I take them year-round, no exceptions.) As a head’s up, I am getting pickier due to space constraints throughout the store. I can sort your stuff quickly when you bring it in to let you know which I’ll take.

If you’ve got them, bring your cloth supermarket bags–they are ideal for hauling away all your goodies. And I take donations of plastic grocery bags if you’d like to recycle them with me.

Thanks!
