Square Dancing – we will start on Thursday October 4th at Saint Paul Lutheran Church
(same location and time as previous years 3:00 till 4:30)
SQUARE DANCING
for PHYSICAL EDUCATION
and Optional PA Farm Show Competition
Square Dancing Basics and some Line Dancing, Fall 2012
So Why Square Dance as a Teen or Pre-teen?
• Develop Social Skills by learning to treat others with respect at all times,
• Learn to work with others as a team,
• Develops good listening skills that require immediate reaction to a given instruction by
translating it into the proper physical action,
• Students receive Immediate Positive Feedback when properly following an instruction,
• Improves Coordination,
• It’s Good Exercise, a Mild Aerobic,
• No pre-requisite skills to successfully participate,
• Last but not least, “It’s FUN”
Preferred ages 8 to 19 (Parents and older Siblings also welcome)
10 Week Program, Thursdays, October 4 through December 13, 2012, 3:00 till 4:30

the PA Farm Show Square Dance Competition, held Monday January 7, 2013

Please Note: A parent is asked to stay during each class session. You might have some FUN too.
